Boyfriend Pocket Tee

Over the weekend I swung into Target and found my new favorite shirt-- the boyfriend pocket tee. I don't know why Target always seems to have the worst photos on their site, but this tee is so flattering and incredibly soft. Paired with skinny jeans, flats and a scarf, this is going to be my go-to weekend outfit.

Fall + Winter Attire

This is how I want to dress all fall and winter. To me, it's pretty much perfection.

Wide Wrap Belt

Like many people, I'm trying to be more adventurous with my fashion. I picked up this belt at Ann Taylor because I consistently love the way high belted fashion looks on people in magazines and on people I see around town. I've tried it with a few outfits and it just didn't work. Do any of you have tricks for making the high belted look work?

Winter Boots

It's going to be my third winter in Charlotte and although it doesn't get as cold here as up North, I think it's finally time I invest in some boots. Ideally I'd love to have a brown and a black pair but for now, I'm thinking of this pair.

Emerson Made

A striped shirt is a must on my fall shopping list. This one by Emerson Made with the 3/4 length sleeve and slim fit is prefect!

P.S. Have you seen the amazing handmade flowers? They would seriously dress up any outfit. And, I hear there is going to be more limited edition clothing. I can't wait!

Snake Flat

I spotted these over at Elements of Style. They remind me of the animal print ones over at J.Crew but for a fraction of the price.

Ideeli

Do any of you belong to these online members only shopping networks? I belong to two, one fashion and one home goods. Typically, I get the emails, check out what's on sale and then hit delete. It's mostly because I'm worried about the no returns policy.

But, recently, I stumbled upon this scarf for $19 on Idelli. I've had a plaid black and white scarf on my shopping list for about a month now, the price was right and the style perfect. I really couldn't be happier but as for actual clothes I'm still not sure-- I'm so picky about the way they fit.

What about you, any thoughts on these sites?

Another fall bag contender. Why is this choice so difficult?!

Guest Blogger: Alyson - Hello + My Fall Essentials

hi there! this is Alyson from Unruly Things filling in for Sarah this week while she's off having a dream vacation in Greece! I'm excited to share with you some of my favorite finds from around the net this week.
first up, since fall is upon us, I can't stop thinking about fall clothes and accessories. here is a list of my fall essentials that I'd love to add to my fall wardrobe.

1. an oversized cardigan - perfect for snuggling up on brisk evenings.

2. an over the shoulder bag - so "back-to-school" cute.

3. pretty prints - for someone who loves solids, floral prints are my new favorite in deep hues of navy, ochre, grey or cranberry.

4. corduroy - I'm really loving all things textured for fall, especially a wide wale corduroy.

5. wedges - quite possibly my favorite thing about fall shoe trends are wooden wedge heels and ankle boots. not too out of control high, but right at a comfortable mid height.

Loving this sweater for fall (and hoping XS gets back in stock). I think it's about time I actually invest in some cooler weather appropriate clothing.

Simple Lovely Shop

One of my favorite bloggers has opened a shop! Filled with curiosities, vintage and new goods and eventually some handmade goods too (like her lovely necklaces) the shop is a perfectly curated collection reflecting Simple Lovely and the ideas and style her blog embodies.

Congratulations Joslyn. I can't wait to see how it evolves over the next few months!
